Hello, lately I've seen a lot of tweets where they want to enter the SixTONES fandom but they don't know where to start =( I can totally relate to this one...I mean entering a new fandom can be really hard and confusing =( so, I'm making this "guide to SixTONES fandom" blog-ish =) I hope this will help a lot =) and I'm sorry if it looks like a mess =(

Also, things that you'll read are mixed of facts and opinions ><

And to the subbers, translators, etc., thank you for allowing me to link your lj/tw accs =)

MEMBERS:

Name: Kouchi Yugo (髙地優吾)
Birth date: March 08, 1994
Date joined the agency: May 24, 2009
Member color: Yellow

Kouchi is the oldest member but the members tease him the most LOL He is the sunshine of the group, he smiles a lot and he is so nice and calm T.T But he has this huge gap lol, for me he does sexy shots the best =)

Name: Kyomoto Taiga (京本大我)
Birth date: December 03, 1994
Date joined the agency: May 04, 2006
Member color: Pink

The ~~prince~~ lead vocalist of the group. He has the longest stay in the agency among them =) He is active in stage musicals too =) He looks cool but he does things cutely in natural way T.T (~~I can talk about him all day long that I don't know where to start LOL~~)

Name: Tanaka Juri (田中樹)
Birth date: June 15, 1995
Date joined the agency: April 20, 2008
Member color: Blue

The rapper slash the MC of the group. He is also the leader-type. He is so composed and summarizes well what the other members say LOL He looks like the one who will be naughty but he is actually the one who tames down the members. But, he has this cute gap...he is actually a mama's boy (in a good way)

Name: Matsumura Hokuto (松村北斗)
Birth date: June 18, 1995
Date joined the agency: February 15, 2009
Member color: Black

The visual of the group...well he got a good face and a good body =) He has a unique fashion sense that I believe he is the only one who can pull his own fashion off...I mean if others wear his clothes...they won't look good on it LOL He is kind of mysterious too..in many ways LOL the king of introverts I must say ;) He looks tough but he gets emotional easily...I guess this is the cute side of him =)

Name: Jesse (ジェシー)
Birth date: June 11, 1996
Date joined the agency: September 11, 2006
Member color: Red

The main vocalist of the group =) He is the tallest too...with 184cm in height @.@ He loves to do jokes and the master of donald duck monomane ;)

Name: Morimoto Shintaro (森本慎太郎)
Birthday: July 15, 1997
Date joined the agency: around October
Member color: Green

The youngest in the group but the swag-est among them =) He naturally got this younger brother vibes lol that even though he is all grown up now, I still find him cute =)

SOME "FACTS" ABOUT THE MEMBERS:
>> Kouchi got into the agency through a program audition. School Kakumei held an audition for a new cast plus juniors. He won and became a regular in the said TV show =)

>> Shin, Jesse, and Taiga were scouted by Mr. Johnny Kitagwa.

Mr. Kitagawa saw Shin in a restaurant and thought it was Ryutaro (Shin's brother). Then when he knew about it, he told Shin that he is free to come to the agency anytime.

Jesse was scouted when Mr. Kitagawa was looking for foreigners =) He visited a dojo where Jesse practices and scouted him.

Taiga was scouted when Mr. Kitagawa saw a photo of the Taiga in Hawaii vacation. He asked who is the boy in the photo and got some details. He called Kyomopapa and...you can read the translation of Kyomopapa's blog post about this here

>> Shin's older brother, Ryutaro Morimoto, is also in entertainment world =)

>> Juri's older brothers, Hyouga Tanaka and Koki Tanaka, are also in entertainment world =)

>> Taiga's father, Mr. Masaki Kyomoto, is a veteran in entertainment industry =) His mom is a former girl group member but she quit the ent. world after she got married =) And another thing, Taiga and Koike Teppei are cousins =)

>> Jesse's father is an American and his mother is a Japanese =)

>> Jesse's full name is Jesse Lewis

>> Jesse is a regular model for FINEBOYS =)

>> There's this "famous" funaka (not in good terms) OTP from this group and we call it KyomoHoku (Taiga and Hokuto)

>> Jesse and Kouchi are real life best friends <3

>> Before this whole B6/SixTONES thing, Kouchi and Hokuto were in a jr unit called B.I. Shadow, then Juri and Jesse were in a jr unit called Hip Hop Jump

ABOUT SixTONES

They got an official name and announced it in Crea (Johnny's Ginza) last May 1, 2015 =) It is read as "STONES"

>> They were 1st grouped together for a drama called Shiritsu Bakaleya Koukou in 2012. Then they were often grouped together for magazine appearances and stage performances. A lot of fans liked them as a group and thought that they'll debut anytime soon. But they never got an official name until 2015 so fans called them B6. Also, for crea 2013 (crea is a mini jr concert held every April-May of the year and every unit gets specific days to perform) they were 1st grouped together but then Hokuto and Jesse were transferred to another unit T.T since then, B6 members were separated and were hardly seen to be grouped together. But in 2015 crea, they requested that they'll be put in the same unit and even asked for an official group name =) Mr. Kitagawa and the staff luckily accepted their request =)

It made it's wave around March last year =) It is like an onomatopoeia for a loud sound like "bang"

FAQs
1. What is a junior?
A. In Johnny's, they call the trainees "juniors" or "Johnny's juniors". But don't be fooled of the word "trainees" coz they're as great as debuted groups already ;)

2. Where can I find studio recording of their songs?
A. Unfortunately, there's no available studio recording of their original songs to the public.

3. Where can I find DVD of their lives/concerts?
A. Unfortunately, the company doesn't release DVDs for junior lives T.T

4. Do they have sns accs?
A. They don't have one that is available to the public (a common rule in Johnny's)

there was a time when they had a bad fight (according to the other members), but that was even before SixTONES was formed =) they're okay now, not just as close as they used to be tho
